8 years after the day

September 11, 2009

It is another anniversary since that dark day in September. Many things have changed, yet many still remain the same. We are still in Afghanistan, fighting a long war of attrition with a resilient enemy. The leadership of the organization responsible for the attack has still not been fully decapitated yet their effectiveness and popularity has greatly been reduced. We are now entering what I think is the most crucial year in the Afghan war, a year where everything will be decided and what path Afghanistan will follow.

Let us remember not only the victims lost on that terrible day, but the thousands of American and Allied soldiers lost in the line of duty.

This will be a very pivital year. Success hinges on our ability to locate the few remaining heads of the snake and cut them off while simultaniously assisting Afghans in their struggle to develop a government and Police Force capable (void of corruption) of sustaining security in the region.
